Bio:
Mr. Rocheleau has taught Technology and Engineering at GDRHS since 2013, bringing to the classroom both a strong academic background and extensive professional experience in technology, engineering, and media.
He holds an M.S. in Applied Communication and a B.S. in Communications/Media from Fitchburg State University, as well as an A.S. in Business Administration from Mount Wachusett Community College. His additional studies include electrical engineering at MWCC and Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMass Dartmouth) and engineering management at Southern New Hampshire University.
Mr. Rocheleau completed his Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Technology/Engineering Education at Fitchburg State University and holds a professional Massachusetts teaching license in Technology/Engineering (5–12) with a Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement. His additional professional credentials include a STEM Educator Certificate from the STEM Education Center at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, certification in Onshape Fundamentals for Instructors, and three VEX Robotics certifications through Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Academy.
Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Rocheleau spent 16 years working as a video systems engineer. During his career, he designed and built broadcast production vehicles and live and post-production television facilities, and maintained, repaired, designed, and constructed professional audio and video systems. His work also included managing and training staff and teaching audio and video production to students and volunteers of all ages. Those experiences ultimately helped inspire his transition to education and continue to shape his hands-on, real-world approach to teaching technology and engineering.
At GDRHS, Mr. Rocheleau serves as advisor to the FIRST Robotics Team, the Robotomies, as well as the Film Club.
Outside of school, he enjoys off-roading in his Jeep, biking, kayaking, and spending time at Old Orchard Beach.
